Spice Stellar Craze: A dual SIM Android phone Rs 6,500

Spice Stellar Craze: A dual SIM Android phone Rs 6,500

Spice came up with three new phones under its stellar series last week. The Android powered Stellar Craze is the smallest of the three. Its model number is Mi-355. The phone is smaller in the sense; it has the smallest screen size. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, as well.

The design of the Spice mobile is impressive with glass coated cover on the back portion and a white finish giving a stylish appearance. Even though, the phone is not the slimmest and the lightest among the three, it is a handy phone, which can be easily used with good grip, preventing slips and accidental falls.
The capacitive touch screen is 3.5 inch in dimension. It operates with good touch sensitivity. A Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 800 MHz clockspeed handles the processing part of this Stellar series smart phone. Though it is not a high end processor, the Qualcomm processor provides decent performance for a mid end model.

The Spice handset supports up to 32 GB expandable memory apart from internal storage features thereby delivering good storage capacity. WiFi is the standard wireless connectivity option available in this model.
Spice Stellar Craze currently operates on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and the Spice officials are hinting at an ICS update soon. On camera front, this one has nice specifications. A 5 megapixel rear end camera is quite handy with features like dual LED. There is a VGA front end camera too with support for video chatting.

Now the craziest thing about this model that would attract youngsters is the plethora of interesting online services like Google talk, Facebook and Youtube available for them to enjoy.

Spice Stellar Craze is a dual SIM phone which is good news for business professionals and students with large friend’s groups as they can easily store numerous phone contacts. The phone facilitates 3G features, which gives users impressive options for various online services. Spice mobile has an in-built GPS module with features like A-GPS, which is quite handy. The phone offers good security with the help of a dedicated mobile security app from Netqin.

Spice Stellar Craze can be purchased by spending a price of around Rs. 6,500/-. The price looks reasonable with these many impressive options.

Orange San Diego Intel Android mobile phone review

Orange San Diego Intel Android mobile phone review

Intel’s first mobile phone is a humble beginning, but the firm has mighty ambitions says Matt Warman.

The San Diego looks like many other Apple-inspired mobile phones, but inside it is a unique and special beast. This is the debut European mobile with Intel inside.
Exclusive to Orange, and originally announced as the Santa Clara, the first thing you notice when you turn on the San Diego is the network’s logo, followed by Intel’s classy equivalent. After that, however, consumers need never know what chip powers the device.
Indeed, this is a mid-range phone where cheaper equivalents are available, such as Huawei’s perfectly decent G300. Intel's initial aims are modest.
The San Diego does, however, bode well for the future. While its battery life is not exceptional, it is better than average for an Android smartphone. This means it lasts the day in my very unscientific tests of using it for nearly a week, and although it has a single core processor it runs Android Gingerbread more than adequately. An update to Ice Cream Sandwich is apparently coming later in the year.
